We need to Return Cross River to the Path of focused Leadership- Wofai Ewa, AS He accepts SDP Deputy Governorship Nomination

Engr. Wofai Ewa, the Cross River State Social Democratic Party (SDP) Deputy Governorship candidate has stated that the focus of the SDP campaign and the ticket will be to return Cross River State to the “path of focused leadership.

Wofai who stated this in a release by him, accepting his nomination, made available to our correspondent and personally signed by him, said he will put his wealth of experience to the service of the state.

The release partly reads; “A couple of weeks ago, I received news of my nomination as Deputy Governor Nominee and running mate to Barrister Eyo O. Ekpo of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) with equal measures of surprise, elation and humility.

I am keenly aware of the expectations placed on my shoulders to not only play a decisive role in ensuring a victory for my party the SDP, but also the urgency of the broader #RecoverAndRestore Project. We need to return our great State to the path of credible, transparent and focused leadership, for the benefit of Cross Riverians at home and abroad”.
.
Wofai further added that, “This nomination could have been ANYONE. I say this having knowledge of the depth and quality of young talents native to and resident in Cross River, who yearn to be afforded an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to this State’s progress. They hardly ever get a look-in. This opportunity offered me by Eyo Ekpo and the SDP is in line with their focus on young people as the leaders of now, not a future which never comes.

I pledge to lend my talents and experience in the service of Cross River, especially in the areas of conflict resolution and effective management of government projects. Concerning the former, I am deeply worried about recent communal clashes in Abi LGA. I will be putting out an action plan to end communal clashes in these areas soon.”

Wofai concluded by stating that Cross River State is at a turning point and that choices made will determine where the state will be headed.

It will be recalled that Wofai Ewa, a House of Representative aspirant under the All Progressive Congress (APC), had announced his resignation from the party and was letter nominated by Eyo. O. Ekpo as his running mate for the Cross River State Government House.
