Chude Jideonwo, the media persona, says Nigeria’s largest filmmakers are predominantly from the Yoruba tribe.
In an Instagram post, Jideonwo talked about notable names like Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, Kemi Adetiba, Kunle Afolayan, and Mo Abudu as examples, whereas discussing the dominance of Yoruba filmmakers in Nollywood.
He argued that Yoruba-language movies have probably the most presence on international streaming platforms and that Hausa or Igbo-language movies are practically absent.
He added that the Yoruba movie tradition has efficiently blended into different teams, thereby aiding its continued dominance within the Nigerian movie trade.
“The largest filmmakers in Nigeria now are all Yoruba,” he stated.
