Jigawa approves N3.5bn for public school rehabilitation

Jigawa has put aside N3.5 billion for the development and rehabilitation of primary and post-basic faculties within the state.

Nura Ibrahim, the state’s commissioner for surroundings, spoke on Friday in Dutse.

He issued a joint assertion with Mohammed Alhassan, his counterpart within the ministry of land, housing, city, and regional planning.

In December 2023, Jigawa equally authorized over N1 billion for international scholarships and the event of faculty infrastructure.

The fund was to cater for 184 indigent college students transferred from Sudan to Close to East College in Cyprus.

It included N312 million for the fee of 12 months of residing allowances, visas, air tickets, and different journey logistics.

Additionally included was N697.8 million in counterpart funding for the State Common Fundamental Training Board (SUBEB).

This, the state authorities had stated, would facilitate the development of 156 new lecture rooms, the renovation of 207, the development of 39 bogs, and the supply of 68 handpumps/boreholes.
