No casualty as fire guts petrol station in Enugu

The Enugu police command says there have been no casualties within the hearth outbreak at Pinnacle filling station alongside Agbani street within the state.

In a press release on Friday, Daniel Ndukwe, the police spokesperson within the state, counseled the fireplace fighters for responding swiftly to the scenario

Ndukwe famous that though three autos on the gasoline queue have been burnt, no life was misplaced throughout the incident.

He added that Kanayo Uzuegbu, the commissioner of police within the state, has ordered for an investigation into the reason for the fireplace.

“A fireplace incident occurred at Pinnacle Filling Station, Agbani Highway, Enugu, within the morning hours of as we speak, Friday, September 20, 2024,” the assertion reads.

“The fireplace was instantly put out with the help of the personnel of each federal and state hearth companies, who promptly responded to the emergency scenario.

“No life was misplaced. Nevertheless, three autos on the queue to buy gasoline have been torched, whereas normalcy has since been restored by the police.

“In the meantime, a preliminary investigation means that the fireplace could have been brought on by gasoline leakage from one of many autos shopping for gasoline on the station.

“Nevertheless, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), who led police operatives to the scene, has ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police answerable for the State CID to conduct a full-scale investigation into the incident.”
