The Edo authorities has declared September 20 as a work-free day to allow staff and residents to journey to their voting areas forward of the state’s governorship election.
The election is scheduled for September 21 throughout 18 LGAs within the state.
In a press release on Thursday, Joseph Eboigbe, secretary to the state authorities (SSG), assured that sufficient safety preparations are in place for the conduct of the election.
“That is to allow staff and different electorates to journey to their voting areas forward of the September 21 governorship election within the state,” the assertion reads.
“The federal government needs everybody journey mercies and reassures that safety measures have been offered to make sure a free, truthful, and credible election.”
