The Edo authorities has declared September 20 as a work-free day to allow employees and residents to journey to their voting areas forward of the state’s governorship election.
The election is scheduled for September 21 throughout 18 LGAs within the state.
In an announcement on Thursday, Joseph Eboigbe, secretary to the state authorities (SSG), assured that ample safety preparations are in place for the conduct of the election.
“That is to allow employees and different electorates to journey to their voting areas forward of the September 21 governorship election within the state,” the assertion reads.
“The federal government needs everybody journey mercies and reassures that safety measures have been supplied to make sure a free, truthful, and credible election.”
