Oluwakemi Pinheiro, the newly appointed chairman of the governing council of Kaduna State Polytechnic (KADPOLY), has pledged to donate his lifetime wage to help indigent college students on the establishment.
Pinheiro expressed this dedication in a letter dated September 9 and addressed to Suleiman Umar, the rector of the polytechnic.
He mentioned the wage from his place as council chairman will likely be used to help indigent college students on the polytechnic who want monetary support.
Pinheiro, who additionally serves as a prosecutor for the Financial and Monetary Crime Fee (EFCC) and the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN), clarified that he is not going to settle for any sitting or different allowances throughout his tenure within the polytechnic’s governing council.
To make sure transparency, Pinheiro requested that the establishment present proof of the disbursement of the funds to his workplace.
“Allowances for sitting because of me as a boss of the eighth governing council throughout my tenure ought to be utilized for the fee of admission charges or help for the educational charge of any indigent college students in my title,” his letter reads partially.
“Proof of those funds forwarded to me for my information. For the information, I shall not personally gather sitting or allowances throughout my tenure.”
Suleiman Umar, the rector of Kaduna State Polytechnic, counseled Pinheiro for the trigger.
He mentioned the gesture will present much-needed monetary reduction to many deserving college students and contribute to their educational success.
