REP. BASSEY AKIBA IN ATTENDANCE AS THE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTELLIGENCE PAID AN OVERSIGHT VISITO THE DSS TRAININGCENTRE IN ENUGU
The House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence has called for more synergy between the federal and state governments in the efforts to transform Nigeria’s security and intelligence.
The committee made the call while on an oversight visit to the DSS Training Centre in Enugu State.
The Chairman, House Committee on National Security and Intelligence, Hon(Engr) Satomi, said the purpose of the visit was to identify areas of challenges and collaboration, assist the Centre by way of adequate appropriation.
The Committee’s Chairman who led the team on a courtesy call to the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Mr Peter Mbah, lauded his administration’s achievement in security.
In a remark, Governor Peter Mbah thanked them for embarking on the visit and assured them of his administration’s commitment to peace and security.
In attendance were members of the Committee, including the Federal Lawmaker, representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Healthcare Services, Rep. Bassey Akiba.
