Sokoto Abductions: No Nigerian Should Be in Captivity, Says Abbas

The Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has condemned the mass abduction of pupils in Sokoto State by bandits.

About 15 pupils had been reportedly kidnapped from an Islamic college in Gidan Bakuso, Gada Native Authorities Space of Sokoto State on Saturday.

The kidnapping adopted the earlier ones in Borno and Kaduna States inside one week, which the Speaker had condemned in robust phrases.

Abbas, in a press release issued Sunday by his Particular Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, famous that no Nigerian needs to be in captivity.

To this finish, he known as on the navy and different safety companies to go after the abductors and rescue the victims.

He added: “We should collectively rise to the event and stem the tide of abductions, particularly of girls and youngsters, at a time when the federal government is making efforts to handle the excessive fee of out-of-school kids.

“The faculties have to be secure for our kids. Our safety companies must act quick,” Speaker Abbas mentioned.
