The Deputy Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has expressed gratitude to the Senate for passing the Invoice searching for the institution of South East Improvement Fee (SEDC).
The proposed laws sponsored by Kalu was handed by the Senate on Thursday, after contemplating and adopting its clauses on the Committee of the Complete, chaired by the Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
Recall that the Home of Representatives on December 21, 2023 at its Committee of the Complete chaired by the Deputy Speaker, Kalu, unanimously handed the Invoice for third studying and despatched it to the Senate for concurrence.
Reacting to the event, the Deputy Speaker counseled the Senate, saying that the Invoice when handed into legislation and finally assented by President Bola Ahmed Bola will assist to rebuild the South East area badly affected by the civil conflict.
