The Gombe State Police Command, on Tuesday, arrested 22 suspects together with 32-year-old David Ochuko, and 27-year-old Jibril Sani for impersonation, conspiracy and proudly owning substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
Parading the suspects on the command headquarters, the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, mentioned the suspects have been arrested for impersonating Assistant Superintendent of Police.
Abubakar mentioned, “On the seventh of February, 2024, the suspects have been arrested with six blocks of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
“They have been arrested alongside Dasa village of Dadin-kowa. They have been arrested with an ASP id card with an Military operational cap.”
Additionally paraded are Yahaya Abdulkadir, Shuaibu Ahmadu, Musa Hussaini, Usman Haruna, Adamu Munkaila, Abdulmalik Mohammed, Dangunde Abba, Abdulsalam Shehu, Abdulmalik Garba, Ibrahim Yunusa, and Babangida Idris, who have been arrested for legal conspiracy, armed theft.
The PPRO added that one Yahaya Garba had reported that an unknown individual robbed him of his Bajaj motorbike and injured him the place one Yahaya Abdulkadir, conspired with one Shuaibu Ahmadu and robbed him; thereby males of the Pressure responded and this led to the restoration of stolen property, together with three Bajaj bikes, from the suspects’ residences.
